Not only bullfighting leaves a bad image of Spain. Over 300'000 pets are abandoned every year in Spain, mostly during the holidays. The amount of unwanted animals shows: Spain still lives in dark ages!

And if you think that the dogs that have been found and brought to the city dog pond where lucky, just forget it. Usualy they will be killed within a maximum of 21 days. 

Most of the people don‘t even want to spend 15 US$ on a injection to kill their pet and even less they would spend  12US$ per day for an bording kennel. It is realy cruel and pervert, how many petowners get rid of their dogs and the worst of it is, that usualy the abandoning of pets is accepted in the society. Some of them just go on holidays and leave the dog at the next beach or in the forrest.

The poor doggies are abandoned to be overrun by a car or to be starved to death. Or they use even worse „treatments“ to let the dogs suffer longer like the dog above. He was forced into a linnen bag and left to die  slowly and in the most painful way.
